Celebrating & Anticipating

Written by Beth Brown | DRIME Staff Member

This past year we went to Ghana for the first time, most staff went through some kind of role transition, we launched 3 new DRIME teams, and we saw over 2,000 accept Christ into their lives. Through it all, we look back and see God’s faithfulness as He multiplies our teams and infuses more of himself in our lives, so that more can hear the hope of Christ. As we look forward to 2019, let’s take a glimpse into our last year.

Here are some of our favourite 2018 highlights:

  • 3 new teams started in Montréal, Canada, Pelotas, Brazil & Sáenz Peña, Argentina
  • We hosted the very first Regional Leadership Summits
  • Sheldon joined our staff team as the Vancouver Team Leader
  • We sent teams to new countries, such as Chile & Ghana
  • Our leaders in Asia gained a new Regional Director…Evelyn!

Not only that, but:

  • 1,071 people received training in creative evangelism
  • 40,804 people were exposed to the Gospel
  • 8,802 people engaged in spiritual conversations
  • 2,061 people received Christ into their lives
  • 1,832 people were involved in follow-up

As 2019 is in full swing, here is what we are looking forward to:

  • 9 more DRIME teams to launch
  • Our annual Run for the Nations fundraiser in June
  • A mission trip to Taiwan led by DRIME Hong Kong
  • DRIME represented at the Break Forth conference in Edmonton
  • DRIME Brazil and Paraguay teams attend CIMA, a young adults movement in Latin America
  • DRIME Hong Kong will celebrate 5 years of ministry
  • Preparations for & the start of our 25th year of ministry which kicks off this Fall!

As we begin 2019 we are particularly excited to celebrate 25 years as a ministry, a milestone that we never dreamed possible when the ministry was just beginning. We are so grateful to God for this upcoming anniversary, which is a reminder of his faithfulness to us every step of the way!

We are also happy to announce that our International Director, Lillian Frederiksen, will be having a baby very soon! While she is on maternity leave, Carleigh Amoussou, Jamie Arseneau, and Johannes Bleeker will be overseeing the ministry as it continues to grow.

Amidst each conversation, event, or drama, God is working. He is graciously using our ministry to make his name known around the world. We hope and pray that in 2019, we will see God continue to use our ministry & greater community to bring even more people to himself.

Happy New Year!
