I always encouraged her and prayed for her, but she seemed to remain the same. However, on our last trip to the streets in late May we were again in Canela Square, and it was on this day that she called me to ask if she could give me a message. The message was a note that she delivered into my hands. I asked if I could read it there and she said yes.

Jessica told me that never found the love that she needed in her mom and one time her mom had told her that she never wanted to get pregnant and have Jessica in her life. As a result of feeling unwanted, Jessica tried many times to end her own life.
"I didn't want to stop here at this plaza because I have to get home...but it is so hot today, I just had to rest for a moment here in the park. How fortunate that I stopped when you were presenting and came to talk to me…"
At the end of our conversation he said, "Before today, I didn’t think God still cared for me – but now I know He does."
I thank God for this opportunity of seeing God at work in a mountain village in Mexico.
